  The applicant must be sponsored by their child who is:

  • Visa application must be lodged within 6 months of sponsorship approval

  • The sponsorship must remain active; withdrawal of sponsorship will affect visa eligibility

• Financial Requirements
  The sponsor must demonstrate the financial capacity to support the parent(s) and may be required to provide additional documentation

• No Work Rights
  Visa holders cannot work in Australia while on this visa

• You can apply for a three-year or five-year stay, with fees based on the duration selected

• A maximum cumulative stay of 10 years is permitted under this visa class

• After 10 years, you must leave Australia and remain offshore for at least 90 days before reapplying
